Blissful Beer Gardens In The Cotswolds
When the summer months arrive in the Cotswolds we all want to make the most of our beautiful surroundings and spend as much time outside as we possibly can.
There is nothing more satisfying than sipping a refreshing half a cider (or drink of your choice) in a pretty little beer garden. You don’t need any conversation or effort. Just sit back and listen to the birds singing, perhaps the odd rumble of a tractor working the fields and the distant calling of ewes to their ever growing lambs.
We have plenty of stunning pubs to choose from around us in Notgrove so here are just a few to give you an idea.
A wonderful traditional inn within easy reach from us at Notgrove. The garden is amazing situated on the River Coln with an enchanting lake for you to sit out and watch whilst dining Alfresco.
Based on the outskirts of a beautiful old estate – Stowel Park. A wander around the lanes will set you up nicely for a cool pint!
Stanton itself is a truly idyllic little village. You will feel like you have stepped into a storybook whilst wandering around. You could park in the village and climb the steep leg burning hill up to the pub where the food is scrumptious! A real favourite!
Snowshill may only be small but it has a huge character and is also a film star! It Provided scenes for Bridget Jones’ diary covered in snow. The snowshill Arms has kept its charm and character inside with low ceilings and lots of wooden beams. Outside it has a lovely beer garden especially suitable for the younger ones amongst us. So you can sit and relax while the terrors go and burn off some energy!
The Sherborne Arms – Aldsworth
A family run 16th century Cotswold stone inn sitting on the outskirts of Aldsworth. This delightful pub and its garden overlook rolling fields with pretty little flower borders for you to sit amongst whilst enjoying a bite to eat.
Winner of the North Cotswolds Pub Of The Year 2016 this lovely pub is only a short drive from us. Oozing with ‘Cotswoldness’ the pub has a delightful garden for you to sit in and enjoy the views and location.
