Just spent 3 nights in Walnut Barn with family celebrating my son's 30th birthday. Superb accommodation, very spacious and well equipped. 3 yr old loved the animals and surrounding countryside, baby well catered for. Games room very well equipped. Maybe more fridge space or drinks fridge and new non stick frying pan ! Overall though excellent accommodation did not want to leave. Thank more

The place was as presented on-line. We enjoyed our trip. An old building with quirks but the owners have upgraded the kitchen and bathrooms. Heating worked well and we were warm during the heavy snow. Very nice to look out onto the rolling hills rather than other buildings. All good!read more

We recently stayed for two nights in the campion pod & we loved it! The pods were very clean & more spacious than I thought they would be with everything we needed for our stay. I recently visited the pods with my 2 children who absolutely loved the surroundings and facilities. I love that the pods open out onto the enclosed paddock, meaning the kids can run free, get suitably muddy and do what kids should be doing in the Cotswolds! The games room was a big hit, as was the football 'pitch'. It was so lovely being able to interact with the animals too (especially your gorgeous piggy!) - perfect for keeping the children more

Pod was nice and clean but not well equipped. Expected at least a mug or glass, nothing provided at all and didn't know how to get anything. The coffee machine in the games room was disgusting. Had emailed owners twice before to let us know what we needed to bring without any response. No sign of owners during visit, no one else staying there, didn't know how to contact anyone. Probably wrong time of year to visit, was freezing inside. You need to update your visitor information. I'm sorry to appear so negative as the landscape is so lovely but these pods are available at half your price more

We had a lovely weekend at Notgrove, staying in Wainway, two adjoining cottages. We all enjoyed ourselves celebrating a family 80th birthday with age ranges from 9 to 80 and a dog. The accommodation was great - well equipped and comfortable (although Inka wondered where his towels and bowls were) and we loved the longer trail routes although there could have been a few more purple dots! I booked the Cobnut Barn for my mums 70th birthday celebrations for 6 adults and 2 young children. It exceeded our expectations and was a fantastically well equipped comfortable barn with modern furnishings and everything was provided that you could possibly need. The children loved the games room, the animals and the jacuzzi bath! It really is a great setup in beautiful countryside. We will certainly visit again....we may try the glamping pods next time which also looked great! I would definitely more

We stayed in Chestnut Barn, which is a comfortable, well appointed three bedroom, three en-suite property. It provided an ideal base for touring the Cotswolds. We had a great time at the pods , 2 families celebrating a special birthday. The pods were spotless and really cosy and cute. We loved meeting all the animals and walking to the pub in Cold Aston. It was really peaceful and the sunflowers were beautiful! The firepit was great for bbqing on and sitting round in the evening. The games room is a fantastic idea for worse weather days and the table tennis and table football went down a storm with both the kids and adults! The hot drinks machine was a welcome touch as was the availability to purchase emergency supplies! Many thanks for a lovely more

Loved our stay in Poppy pod at this beautiful location, so clean, very comfy beds great to have a tv and wifi. Loved the games room, so great to have access 24/7. The walks around the Pods are so relaxing! I loved that Kate's dog comes round each morning to greet you! One of the best parts! The farm animals are great! I felt like I was in a different world completely every time I woke up! Everybody was so polite and helpful if we needed any help! Such a great place to stay:-) The pod was well-equipped and comfortable - even a flat screen tv and the kids had the cheek to say said the wi-fi was better quality than ours at home! We hired bikes that were delivered to us at our pods, cooked on the fire pit and enjoyed the freshly laid eggs, loved all the animals especially the friendly goats and the 'wiggy' alpacas, the countryside was so beautiful and relaxing, and we really felt a million miles away from city life. Really good value for money break and I am recommending Notgrove to anyone wanting to escape to the Cotswolds for some quality time with friends or more

We had a wonderful holiday at Notgrove. We stayed in Poppy Pod which was just perfect. It was SO clean and tidy. The games room was excellent, although my son wanted to play on the pool table but that was situated in the other games room which we weren't able to use. The location and surrounding area was beautiful and tranquil. Having our evening meal cooked on the fire pit each evening was superb and of course the marshmallows too! I've rated four stars and not five for one reason only, which was the lack of seeing any staff. We didn't see anyone until I went to ask about the pool table. That was it! I think it would have been nice on the day of arrival for some to pop their head round and say "hi I'm ... and if you need anything just give us a shout/call but other than that we will leave you to your own devices, enjoy your stay" we honestly didn't see anyone?? Just a few words would have been nice. Anyway, we did have a fabulous stay and we would love to stay there again. Kind regards, A Camplingread more

I would have liked to have given five stars but due to the following issues I'm afraid it has to be only four. I booked Bluebell pod as a birthday treat for my husband. We arrived on Saturday 8th July only to discover that the bespoke extras I had paid for were not there. Faced with the prospect of no crockery or linen (the fire pack didn't matter so much) I called the telephone number provided and left a message informing you of our plight and awaited a response. When we didn't get a call we decided to walk down to the games room area to see if there was anyone around. After a few minutes a lady arrived in a car. We enquired whether she was a member of staff and was told she was. I was about to explain our problem but she cut me short and rather curtly stated that I hadn't ordered these items which is why they were not in the pod. I had been trying to find the confirmation email on my phone but the data signal was not good so it took me a while. In the meantime she had driven off with the missing items so we followed her back to Bluebell. I attempted to explain that, although I had not ordered the bespoke extras at the time of booking I had emailed and added them on later and had confirmation that they were added from someone called Katie. It turned out that this lady was Katie herself. I wanted to show her the confirmation email but she simply snapped that she'd left her children to sort our issue out and drove away again! This left my husband and I feeling guilty for something that was your fault and not ours! Not a good start. However, we were desperate for a cup of tea so set about unpacking the 'crockery'. Not crockery, but plastic cups, plates etc. Not a problem apart from the fact that the cups were very dirty so we had to scrub them before we could even make a cuppa! We discovered that this seems to be a problem with the material they are made from and they are very hard to clean, but these little details should be checked before giving them out to people. The pod itself was wonderfully clean and tidy and the only other issue is that the tiny freezer compartment in the fridge was very iced up and did not keep the ice cream we bought frozen. We had to throw it away! Something else you need to check before guests arrive. Having said all of that, the setting is stunning! It was lovely to have the fire pit and we found the animals and countryside totally charming. We even had a flock of house martins flying around us this morning as we were preparing to depart. The issues that we had at the start of our stay would not deter us from visiting again, but I strongly suggest that you take a little more care over looking after your paying customers as we are the ones who can make or break this type of business!read more

We stayed in the Lodge for 4 nights. The cottage is very quaint and generally very comfortable with a lovely private garden and the surrounding area is beautiful. The kitchen is pretty well equipped with all the basics required for cooking (and cleaning) and the staff we met were lovely. I was surprised and disappointed when a heating engineer turned up unexpectedly to service the boiler on the second morning of our stay, I would have expected to be informed about this by the staff in advance and would obviously have preferred if it had been arranged for one of the change over days so it didn't inconvenience us as guests. I also felt that the laminated notices inside both front and back doors telling us not to walk on the private drive or gardens were far from welcoming! Both these things left a slightly sour taste in the mouth for what would otherwise be a very idyllic more

Stayed in a pod for 2 nights. Although the pod is small it has everything you need in there. The double bed is quite small if you are tall but for 2 nights it was fine. The shower was excellent - powerful and hot. The only issue with the shower room was there was a foul smell in there all the time. (The wc is also in there). Not sure if this was because we were in the first pod and the drainage all runs down to our end. The games room is big but not very good when the 2 main items to play did not have a ball!! Therefore we could not play ping pong or the football table. We searched high and low but could not locate a ball. The actual area is beautiful and clean and all the little surrounding villages are the same. Some lovely pubs and Bourton on Water is a must. Overall a lovely place to more

We had an absolutely fantastic time at notgrove staying in the pods! They were so cute and rather roomy than expected! I slept on the sofa bed which was surprisingly comfortable! We did hire the cooking pack and fire pack which I would recommend as it saves you taking it all with you. The grounds were kept absolutely beautiful. The animals were lovely to see and of course wallis and gromit roaming around saying hello : D I would recommend taking a fan in this weather as the pods do get quite hot. We stayed in the Notgrove pods for 5 days and loved every minute.. the pods are compact but well equipped. We had lovely weather so the double doors were permanently open, sat there in the peace was wonderful and so relaxing, the way the outdoor space is set up each pod has its own privacy which is great, due to the size of the pod cooking inside is slightly limited as you only get one hob & microwave but outside cooking is a must in nice weather anyway would definitely go back and recommend them to anyone read more

We have just come back from a weekend away at Notgrove with 7 other families. We stayed in the pods which were fully equipped with toaster, kettle, fridge & microwave. As we were in a large group it would have been a lot better having a cooker/microwave & fridge in the games room. Each family were having to go back to their pod to cook or collect things in the microwaves & fridges which were going to be eaten in our communal evening BBQ. Shame, I would have given 5 stars. Stayed in the glamping pods for 3 days as a different idea to hotel stays. The pods themselves appear very new and adequate for their purpose although if any taller than 5'7 your feet may hang out of the bed! Each pod has a bathroom, double bed, dining area and sofa with tv. We took our own linen and cooking pack rather than paying extra for the option. The weather was beautiful whilst we stayed so had two bbq whilst here and put provided was ideal. On site is a games room which if staying with kids would be ideal along with large garden area, climbing frame and football goals. The only problem we had during our stay was the goats which wander around and although very entertaining to watch, they eat all the newly planted trees and bushes which I'm not sure is quiet appropriate. Pods are located far enough away from each other and separated by a small fence, but during our stay we were the only people there. On the down side you would need a car to visit any local towns and shops. overall a great stay and would entertain going back but with friends so a little bit more to more

Lovely place to stay. The pod was very clean and spacious. The only thing I found a bit annoying was there was nobody to contact. We couldn't find the pods as the only postcode I had, sent us to the manor and we couldn't get hold of anybody for help. On the second night we wanted a fire pack for the evening and couldn't get hold of anyone to buy one, when I finally got hold of someone they said they might be able to get us one turns out they never did.....
