“Fantastic stay in the Cotswolds”.

I just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic stay in the Cotswolds at Notgrove, on behalf of our group. Thank you for your help in organising the trip as it really contributed to the weekend being such a success! Kate who did our catering on Saturday evening was excellent and we were delighted with the meal and her customer service. We all had such a wonderful time and loved the property. It’s beautifully done, well equipped and you really have thought of everything thoughtfully. We were fortunate with the weather and enjoyed the outdoor space and exploring the local area. We had children within the party crying as they didn’t want to leave yesterday morning!

Thank you once again and we look forward to returning to Notgrove very soon.”

Notgrove Holiday Cottages in the Cotswolds

Here in an area bounded by Bath, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon you’ll find some of the finest landscape in England. Cotswold towns and villages such as Burford, Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water are world famous and remain largely unchanged since their creation in medieval England centuries ago. This was when the wealth of the wool trade left its mark in the high quality stone buildings for which the area is renowned.

Notgrove itself lies in the heart of the Cotswolds, only 4 miles from Northleach, famed for its magnificent church of St Peter and St Paul which is claimed to be the “Cathedral of the Cotswolds”. Nearby, the River Windrush flows through the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water, creating a very picturesque village scene.

At nearly 800ft, Stow-on-the-Wold is the highest of the Cotswold towns and is famous as a centre for antiques. The Roman Fosse Way from Cirencester to Leicester passes through it and it probably dates from a prehistoric fortified settlement on top of the hill.

Should you decide to stay for a few days in one of our holiday cottages you will find plenty of places to visit and sites to enjoy, in these market towns or quiet villages and hamlets. If you would like to book a cottage please click here

It’s all about great service…

“Our 2nd stay in Cobnut Barn. Location is superb. Picturesque village and lovely walks all around. The Cotswolds are a beautiful part of the country and for those preferring to use a car it is not far to find beautiful villages and towns. The barn is well equipped and everything available that you could possibly need. Lots of space in the open plan downstairs for 8 adults. We all agreed that we could live in the barn! The new pods look great and the Safari tents due next year, I believe, should be brilliant if all of the other accommodation available is anything to go by.

We stayed in the Buttercup pod and had the absolute best time! It was so peaceful and our 3 year old LOVED the whole experience. There was everything we needed, and she loved saying goodnight to the alpacas! Nearby to some lovely little villages for exploring the countryside and the BEST views from the pod. Some great cycle rides, completely safe place to stay, and we loved the games room/play areas too. Lily’s highlight was probably Gromit the goat coming to say hi to us in the pod haha! Thank you again and we will definitely be back! 🙂

Spent a family weekend in the Wainway Barn. Ideal accommodation for a large family with a very thoughtful layout. Even in winter there is plenty to do in the beautiful Cotswolds. And you can walk to the pub.
