The luxury tents and can sleep up to 6 people in three fully furnished bedrooms, woodburners and with a flushing loo.  All landscaped within a former cricket field and enclosed by beech trees, they’re surrounded by the 1,500 acre private Notgrove Estate in a unique natural setting. On site games room, football pitch, children’s climbing frame and dogs welcome. A perfect venue for groups of up to 30 people.

Goldfinch, Lapwing and Woodpecker close for the winter at the end of October, however for the hardy campers Red kite and Treecreeper which are insulated and wood cladded and are now open all year round. These tents have heaters and wood burners in the living area, the bedrooms are not heated.

At Notgrove Holidays we don’t have set arrival days. We try to offer completely flexible arrival days throughout the season. Come and stay in our safari tents from any day for two nights upwards – if we can fit in with your preferred dates we will. Book direct on or email

Available to book now from £100 per night for up to six people sharing, open all year!

Minimum Night Stays – minimum stay is two nights, bank holidays weekends are a minimum of 3 nights. Mid-week out of season prices are cheaper for 2/4 guests so please see drop down in booking calendar for prices.

Group Bookings – we are happy to take group bookings but please be aware we are a family campsite in a quiet village.  Therefore, we are only suitable for family groups looking for a peaceful stay.

Tent Locations – Our safari tents are all individually named and are located in this order – Woodpecker, Treecreeper, Red Kite, Lapwing and Goldfinch – please see map attached.

October – April – Red kite and Treecreeper are wood cladded and insulated and as of October 2021 will be fitted with indoor wood burners so they will be open over the winter this year! We look forward to our first full season!

New for 2021 Wood burners! – As of June 2021 all our tents will be fitted with indoor wood burners in the main living area, fire packs available from us – please only use our fire packs in the wood burner!

As we know the great British weather can’t always be relied upon…..our onsite games room ensures you can keep the family occupied whatever the weather. For the big kids we have table football, table tennis and for the little ones a variety of books, toys and games to suit all ages.

Meet the Animals

We love all of our animals to pieces even though they have us running around after them! All of our furry friends love to be fed, cuddled and adored by our guests. Our staff are always ready to show them off and tell you all about them.  In fact, we will probably insist on it!

We want you to enjoy your time with us and these rules are made with that in mind:

  • Notgrove is a sleepy old place.  We welcome families and couples but please be respectful of your neighbours and the villagers by turning off any outside music after 9.30 pm – keep the noise down to a respectable level.
  • There is a no smoking policy in the Safari tents.  You’re welcome to smoke outside but please dispose of butts in a bin – our worms are non-smoking.
  • Notgrove is a beautiful place and we would like to keep it that way.  Please dispose of all rubbish in the bins provided.
  • We provide a wood burner but no other fires are to be lit anywhere around the site.  You may bring disposable BBQ’s but please ensure you light them on a safe surface – not on the tables or wooden decking.
  • If you are expecting guests, please let us know. Any additional guests not mentioned will be charged £10, no matter how short their visit.
  • The outside communal areas are here for all to enjoy. Please be respectful of other guests wishing to use them – and also of other guests relaxing while you are playing.
  • Dogs are welcome in the tents BUT must be kept under control at all times.  Please do not leave dogs unsupervised in the tents, and all dog poo must be picked up and put into the dog poo bin provided. We would also appreciate dogs being kept off the beds and furniture. Please use the dog towels provided after a muddy/wet walk.  Thank you.



  1. Bookings can be made via the website, over the telephone, by e-mail or at the site itself. Once your booking has been accepted we will issue confirmation. Until such time as the booking confirmation is issued the booking is not complete. Payments may be made on line by card. A charge of 3% will be added for customers using credit cards, no charge for debit cards. Extension stays can be made on site by card. A 50% deposit is payable upon booking which is non-refundable. Full payment is required four weeks prior to arrival. If payment is not received the booking will be cancelled and any deposit retained.
  2. Bookings are not transferable.
  3. You must be over 18 years old to make a booking and to stay on site without other adults.
  4. We welcome couples, families and groups but reserve the right not to accept bookings.
  5. Cancellations will only be refunded if the Tent is re-booked on your dates for the full value of your original stay, any part dates will be part refunded –  refunds will be minus an admin fee of £30.
  6. Balance payments  are due 4 weeks before arrival, if a balance is overdue the booking will be held for 7 days, after this time if no contact has been made we will cancel the booking and release the dates.
  7. We will try to ensure that all services and facilities connected with the site are available to you during your stay. If services and facilities are not available no liability will attach to us and any refund is up to our discretion.
  8. We reserve the right to terminate your permission to stay on site immediately in the event that you or those in your party are in breach of these terms and conditions. In the event that permission to stay is terminated no monies will be refunded to you.
  9. We aim not to cancel bookings but if we have to for any reason, we will repay the full amount of any payment and no other compensation will be made.
  10. We will endeavor to put you in the glamping pod you choose but retain the change the location at our discretion.
  11. Monies will not be refunded in the event that some members of your group fail to arrive or you leave the site early whatever the circumstances.
  12. Arrival and Departure – Your pod will be available from 3.00pm on the date of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on the date of departure.
  13. The number of people occupying each pod must not exceed the number stated in the booking request form.
  14. The 5% repeat customer discount is only available on full price bookings, it does not apply when another offer is already in place.
  15. Personal belonging are your responsibility and we will not be liable for any personal belonging lost or damaged during your stay. If any personal belongings are left, if contacted we will endeavor to return them on receipt of payment for return postage plus a £10 management charge. Any left items will be disposed of after 14 days of the stay if we have not been informed.
  16. Pods Pitches must be left free clean and free of rubbish at departure or an additional charge may be applied. Any rubbish is to be placed in the recycling boxes or general waste bins on site. Bedding and towels are to be left in the laundry bags supplied. All cooking pots, cutlery, glassware etc. are to be left clean.
  17. There is a no smoking policy in all pods and the games room, you are welcome to smoke in the gardens but all cigarette stubs must be disposed of in a bin and not littered on the ground – our worms are non-smoking!
  18. Wi-Fi is available, we reserve the right to charge for any use in excess of 500mb per person. We cannot guarantee Wi-Fi as we are in a rural location and connection can be intermittent. We are not liable for any losses caused by failure of Wi-Fi.
  19. We reserve the right to charge for any damages caused to the interior, exterior or contents of the glamping pods.
  20. The sewerage system is via a soakaway. Please only put toilet paper down the WC, absolutely NO nappies, wipes or any other sanitary materials. Please do not pour fat or fatty liquids down the kitchen sink. We retain the right to charge for the blocking of any sewers drains.
  21. This is a family site, please respect your neighbours and switch off any external music after 9.30 pm and keep noise down to a respectable level.
  22. All Glampers are to be responsible for their own and their children’s safety. Notgrove is a working farm and we have goats, sheep, donkeys, horses, sheep and cattle. Please do not feed any animals or go into any field with animals. We have many marked footpaths and beautiful countryside for you to enjoy please do so, but you are responsible for your own safety, we have no responsibility if you or your child falls out of a tree or has an accident!
  23. Games room and football pitch – all Glampers are welcome to use the games room and football pitch but please respect other users and the equipment supplied, If you break something please let us know so we can replace it so someone else can use it! Everything is used at your risk and we have no responsibility of any injuries caused.

  25. By participating you hereby release and hold harmless Facebook from any and all liability associated with this promotion.
  26. Covid-19 Virus Booking Cancellation

    If a National Lock down occurs and we are unable to host your booking, or a local travel ban we would refund you in full or offer alternative dates whichever you preferred.
    If you have made a group booking of two or more barns, pods or safari tents and only one or two members of the group are unable to attend due to local lock down we would expect the rest of the group to travel and use the holiday – if you still choose to cancel your booking it would be our usual cancellation policy. Proof would be required for Corona related cancellations.

  27. Covid-19 Virus Booking Cancellation

    If a National Lock down occurs and we are unable to host your booking, or a local travel ban we would refund you in full or offer alternative dates whichever you preferred.
    If you have made a group booking of two or more barns, pods or safari tents and only one or two members of the group are unable to attend due to local lock down we would expect the rest of the group to travel and use the holiday – if you still choose to cancel your booking it would be our usual cancellation policy.
