NOTGOVE FAMILY HOLIDAY EXPERIENCES: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

With various accommodation each offering different alternatives we can accommodate groups from 8-32, offering large open plan social areas, communal eating and a bathroom for every bedroom! Here are some frequently asked questions:

Barns: All bed linen and towels are provided in the holiday cottages, including hand towels, bath matt and tea towels.

Pods: No linen is provided in the pods unless a linen pack is pre-ordered, a linen pack includes Duvet, pillows, sheets and towels for one double bed and 2 people.

Tents: No linen is provided for the tents unless a linen pack is ordered which then provides all linen and towels for the whole tent.

Barns: Yes we allow 2 dogs per cottage and charge £40 per dog.

Tents: Yes 2 dogs allowed at a charge of £30 per dog.

Pods: Yes 2 dogs in our pods (Buttercup and Bluebell only) allowed at a charge of £30 per dog.

No, linen packs, fire packs and cooking packs for the pods need to be pre-booked before arrival.

Bourton on the Water is 3 miles from us and has a couple of supermarkets, chemist, petrol station and takeaways.

There is a licensed cafe/ bar in the centre of the village called The Nuttery  and serves Coffee, Cake, lunches and open some evening for food a drinks. For opening times and events please see flier in your accommodation.

The local pub is The Plough at Cold Aston it is a 1.5 miles walk from Notgrove down a quiet country lane or down the edge of a large crop field.

Yes our modern barn conversions have a downstairs bedroom and wet room and double patio doors for access.

If you booked directly with us then we will return the deposit 2 days after departure once the barn has been checked.

Barns: The village Farm Barns are perfect for large groups

Pods: We do allow groups, if you are an all adult group please contact us before booking.

Tents: We do allow groups, if you are an all adult group please contact us before booking.

Barns: All cottages have a washing machine and there is a token tumble drier in the Village Farm Barns games room which everyone can use.

Pods: The pods do not have washing machines, but you’re welcome to use the drier.

Tents: No clothes washing facilities

Barns: Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am.

Pods: Check in is 3pm and check out is 10am.

Tents: Check in is 3pm and check out is 10am.

I am afraid we do not allow early check in, it takes time to clean the pods and barns and we do not like to put extra pressure on our cleaning staff.

We do not allow late check out, unless this is specifically agreed with us in advance.

We do not allow smoking or vaping in the pods, barns, tents or games room.

All the pods, barns and tents have free Wi-Fi.  There is no password you can simply connect to the network.

Yes, each pod has space for one car beside it and the barns have ample parking for the size of the property. The tents have a car park provided next to the tents.

The pods are open all year round, they have heating, electricity and en-suite showers plus the games room so are ideal for all seasons.

The tents are open from April – October.

No we do not, we can provide a travel cot if booked prior to your stay but we do not provide any cot bedding.

Each barn has a BBQ in the garden you can use during your stay, we do not provide charcoal.

The pods and tents have a fire pit each which also has a grill for BBQing on.

The Nuttery Café with bar is located in the centre of the village and serves coffee, cake, lunches and open some evening for food and drinks. For opening times and events please see flier in your accommodation.

If coming from the North and South –  Cheltenham Spa you will need a taxi to Notgrove but it is 12 miles away.

If you are coming from London – Kingham Station. There is no bus service or Uber so we suggest you arrange for a taxi to meet you.

There are many local footpaths in the Cotswolds and the Cotswold way runs through the farm.  In addition, the farm has opened private footpath around the farm that guests can use – see map in your guest handbook.  Each cottage also has a farm plan on the wall showing local walks around the farm. The Cotswolds are a great place to cycle. There are miles of local lanes that you can cycle down. All the local towns including Cirencester, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Winchcombe can all be cycled to on local lanes.
