Welcome to the Notgrove Estate Blog – This is where we talk about places to visit, news, events and things going on in the Cotswolds as well as on the Farm. Sometimes we talk about one of our favourite subjects…. cake!

Well the Pods are up and running and we have had our first few guests staying , what lucky things!

Its feels like it has been a long wait but finally the pods are up and running for our extremely lucky guests. The run up to the grand opening hasn’t always been the easiest with our unpredictable English weather not overly helping our progress but as always in true Notgrove style we plugged on and completed on time!

The shop is stocked up with some lovely goodies and local treats and the games room is ready to entertain the younger and slightly more mature of us and supply you with lots of warm yummy drinks.

Harry and Diana couldn’t wait to test them out last week and had a wonderful mini break in Campion, enjoying the rolling views over the village and surrounding countryside. Sometimes you just need to stop to appreciate what you have right on your doorstep.

We have had a wonderful review written by one of our first ‘Podders’ just to give you a slight glimpse into a bit of glamping here in Notgrove…..

“We had such an amazing time staying in the new glamping pods at Notgrove, and were really excited to be some of the first guests!

The pods are stylishly designed, and are nestled into the beautiful Cotswold countryside, surrounded by plants and open fields. The pods are built just on the outskirts of the village, so you feel like you’re in your own little space but can also go and explore the lovely Notgrove estate and farm. They look like little hobbit houses, wooden and rustic on the outside with stunning modern amenities, showers, comfy beds, televisions and underfloor heating inside. Glamping in the pods is the perfect combination of the freedom, adventure and connection to nature that you get from camping and the comfort and luxury of staying in a hotel.

In the evening we lit a little bonfire in the cleverly up-cycled old wheel that has been turned into a fire pit, and it worked beautifully. We toasted marshmallows and even saw a couple of shooting stars in the clear unpolluted sky – it was magical! The showers were hot and such a treat that you wouldn’t get staying in a tent or caravan, and the beds were spacious and really comfortable.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome – we’ll definitely be back!”

Thank you Phoebe, we cannot wait to have you back.

Hurry up and book yourself a treat , we have five wonderful plots to choose from so you could say you are spoilt  for choice!
