Notgrove Holidays is perfect for those looking for a base in the Cotswolds for their walking or cycling holiday. We are well located in the heart of the Cotswolds with plenty of cycling routes and footpaths on our doorstep suitable for all abilities. Our ethos at Notgrove is all about getting away from screens and the stresses of everyday life by enjoying the great outdoors, fresh air and our beautiful Cotswold countryside.



Walking & Cycling Facilities At Notgrove
Here at Notgrove we have tried to ensure that you have all the things you need to make your walking or cycling holiday enjoyable with most of our accommodation being dog friendly with doggie welcome pack, bicycle and e-bike hire when booked in advance, there are washing off areas for dogs and bikes, a bike shed for storage, permissive and public footpaths, cycle routes, dual EV charging point and clothes washing and drying facilities, as described below.
Dog Friendly Accommodation
Most of our holiday accommodation is dog friendly so you’re welcome to bring your four-legged friend(s) with you to stay at Notgrove. Our Barns and four of our dog friendly Glamping Pods have secure gardens and our Safari Lodges have secure wooden verandas so you can keep your dogs safe.
We provide welcome dog packs as an extra if required and have dog washing areas so you can wash them off when they get wet and muddy.
We just ask that you keeps your dogs on leads around livestock and wildlife and pick up their droppings and dispose of them in the dog poo bins provided.
Public & Permissive Footpaths
The Gloucestershire Way footpath runs right through Notgrove village and the Macmillian Way and Cotswold Way are within each reach. As holiday guests, you also have access to all the Notgrove permissive paths on the farm which take you around the 1,500 acres along tracks and paths where you’ll see woods, sloping valleys, Cotswold stone walls and the biodiversity of our wildlife including deer, hares, owls, birds of prey, butterflies and hedgehogs.

Notgrove has lots of quiet country lanes and private tracks on the farm you are welcome to use for leisurely bike rides or walks.

Bike Hire Company
If you are looking to hire a bicycle or e-bike, we have partnered with local bike hire and climbing company Far Peake who can deliver bikes to Notgrove for you during your stay and collect them again before you leave when booked in advance.

Bike Shed
Cyclists are welcome to bring their own bikes which you can store in our bike shed (in the Barns car park) if you’re staying in the Barns or Glamping Pods or you can keep them locked up on the veranda if you are staying in a Safari Lodge.
Wash Off Area
When it’s wet and muddy you are welcome to use the wash off areas and hose pipes provided at the Barns, Pods and Lodges to clean off your dog or bikes at the end of your walk or bike ride.



Dual EV Charger
Most guests travel to Notgrove via car and with electric cars becoming more and more popular we have installed a dual 22kw Project EV Charger which is located in the Barns car park for all guests to use on a pay as you go basis via the Project app.
Clothes Washing & Drying Facilities
If on return from your excursion you end up with wet and muddy clothes, you’re welcome to use the clothes washing and drying facilities in the Barns Games Room buy purchasing tokens from Housekeeping.
Local Public Transport
For those not able to travel by car, Notgrove is well located for public transport with train stations in Cheltenham, Moreton-in-Marsh and Kingham which are all mainline stations with direct lines to London, Birmingham and Bristol which is useful for cyclists who like to take public transport and then cycle to and from their holiday accommodation or those who want to come by bus or taxi. There’s also a bus service to and from Cheltenham and Moreton-in-Marsh which is the Pulhams 801 service.
